g'day petals
well I have been busy today sewing up a storm.. I started sewing the above as a gift, but in the end, I gifted myself!
You know, gifting oneself, you ALWAYS get what you want... the redwork rabbits are Lynette's Noahs Ark BOM I made two, and thought hmmm.. its easter.. easter has bunnies.. so I gathered up my 1930's rabbits and chicken fabrics and made this sewing set... It turned out pretty cute I think (hence the reason I am keeping it)...
A couple of weeks ago, a blog I visit, had a 'guessing competition' well I guessed the most answers first, so I won a gift.. hmmm or so I thought.. the gift turned up this week and this is it.. 
A lovely Scquilters mug, and a bundle of black and white fabrics.. the catch? hmm the fabrics if I accept the challenge, must be made into a quilt by June 1st! AND you can add the SAME fabrics sent, but can only add ONE other colour!
I do not own one black and white fabric anyways, so this will be definately a challenge for me!
Wish me luck possums! I do have my thinking cap on already for this, so on June 1st, I have to post a pic, so stay tuned petals!

You can't possibly mean you don't have any black/white 30's fabrics?! If you are veeeery nice to me I will send you some. LOL
What a fun gift you got. Great idea to make a challenge out of a giveaway. Black and white together with red is beautiful!! Looking forward to see what you decide to do.

Loved your sewing set, Lissa. Yeah...definitely keep it for yourself.
BTW, the way I read our instructions, it doesn't have to be a quilt! It can be anything. I did suggest to Pennie that the 3 of us combine and make a quilt for her DH David's lathe, now that he's cleaned it! think she told me off!!!LOL

Had to chuckle over the 'catch' to the giveaway fabric winnings. Looks like a fun challenge and black and white goes together with other colours quite nicely. You'll come up with something really lovely, I'm certain.
Wow - that is a "catch" - it would have me well out of my comfort zone working with black and white (I only have scraps of black for applique-ing penguins onto blankets!)
Not surprised you kept the sewing set though - very gorgeous!
I especially like the scissor keepers, but eeeeek on the quilt front - I would find that a huge challenge!

I wish you good luck on that challenge...;D it sounds really fun...but oh...it is hard to work with colours you usually don´t use!!
